Since the cat is out of the bag and we all already know I am recovering from COVID 19. If you don’t know check it out here. Now that you’re caught up. I’m going to share what you need to know about recovering from COVID 19. So here are my 7 Tips You Need To Know About Recovering From Corona.
It’s different for everyone
The first thing you need to know about COVID 19 is that we all have different experiences. I’ve heard different stories from everyone I know who had it. Therefore, one size does not fit all. Even Cinderella knew that (LOL, y’all know I had to be corny for a moment.)
With that being said, everything I’m going to share here in what you need to know about recovering from COVID 19 might not be your experience. Especially since I’m speaking from what I’ve been through. Now that we have the disclaimer. Let’s get to it.
Be prepared
The first thing I want to say is that you need to be prepared. The CDC informs us that COVID-19 takes up to about two weeks to go through your system. What they don’t tell you is that it takes maybe more to completely clear from your system.
Let me be the first to say. I think two weeks is silly. We need longer recovery time. I’m thinking of at least three weeks. And later on, you will understand why I say that.
Also, be prepared that your COVID experience will be way different than mines. Be prepared to be a slave to cleaning up and cleanliness that will never stop.
It takes time
I was blessed by the Lord Jesus to be one of the few who actually recover from COVID in two weeks. But, y’all be ready for this thing to take time to leave your system.
My coworker had the same thing and it took her four weeks to completely recover and get negative test results. So it’s going to take time. Just be patient and it will all work out just fine.
According to the CDC, it takes 2 weeks for mild cases and three to six weeks for severe cases. That’s just being sick. That does not even include recovery time. That is why you must remember it takes time.

COVID testing Sucks
Now for what we all have been waiting for. What testing will be like you recover from COVID? Well according to the CDC. You need two consecutive negative test results before you can claim that you are all clear. Something I learned from my countless hours on the CDC website.
But needless to say, that’s the recommendation. Some jobs won’t even let you come back if you don’t have the two negative test results. To be honest, once you get that first negative results the second one will feel like a piece of cake. At least for me, that’s how it felt.
For those who have never been tested. Let me just warn you. They take a swab and stick it in your nose. I mean it’s the worst and weirdest feeling ever. For some people, it burns like a mother. My first time was painful but afterward, it got easier.
However, for me when I actually had COVID the test did not hurt but when I recovered it did. That’s actually how I knew I was in the clear.
Clean everything
Honestly, one of the things that I found to be a huge aid in my recovery was cleaning. The moment I felt my symptoms lessen. I disinfected everything. I washed my sheets, put my pillows in the dryer, and bleached everything I possibly could bleach.
Disinfecting everything does help because you’re not breathing in the virus. If you can’t clean everything clean what you spent the most time with. Trust me on this.
Get up and move
When you start feeling better I recommend you start going outside and catching some sun. Whether it’s your backyard, patio, balcony, or whatever you got. Go outside and get some sunlight and breath in clean air.
When we are sick and locked up in the house the air becomes stale. So make sure you go outside and breathe in clean air.
Also, I recommend you walk. If you feel up to it. Go for a small walk. Once I was able to properly breathe I went for small walks. To strengthen my lungs and help me breathe a little better.
Don’t stop taking care of yourself
Lastly, another thing that helped me was that I never stopped taking care of myself. I did not stop taking my vitamins, working out, drinking my teas, and eating healthy.
Just because you feel better does not mean you should be reckless. keep doing everything that you did to make you better while you were sick. Don’t relax because COVID is till out there. Besides, it’s an amazing way to learn that self-discipline.
That’s all folks. COVID 19 effects us all differently. That is why I am sharing the 7 Tips You Need To Know About Recovering From Corona. Hopefully, this helps. If there’s anything else you want to know don’t hesitate to ask. The next post should be all about health tips and tea recipes.
