1.Haiti

Number one on my list of 6 Beautiful Islands You Can Still Travel To During This Pandemic is Haïti. It is my home country and a must-visit. This small country shares an island with the Dominican Republic. And it is an amazing destination for those who are looking for sun, clear beaches, food, and fun.

For a small Island, Haiti offers a lot of fun. This gorgeous island is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. So when you go there you will have an opportunity to enjoy the tropical paradise that you have been looking for. Labadee is one of the best beaches in Haiti. A private Island own by Royal Caribbean known for its amazing natural beauty.

If beaches aren’t your thing, then head over to Citadelle Laferriere. One of the largest if not the largest fortress in the Western Hemisphere built to protect freed slaves after the Haitian Revolution of 1804. It is a sight for sore eyes and a lot of fun to visit.

While Haiti offers amazing beaches, awesome culture, and history, it also offers good food. One of my favorite places Lakay. One of the best restaurants in Cap-Haitian offering good ole comfort food and an excellent taste of Haiti.

In conclusion, Haiti is often overlooked but one of the best tropical destinations you can visit. I would call it a not-so-hidden Gem in the Caribbean. offering great food and amazing history. And it is the home of the 8th wonder of the world. So don’t hesitate to check it out.

Of course, you need to check to see if there is a travel restriction or requirement to get in. According to visit Haiti.com, the country requires that all international travels declare their COVID-19 on a form distributed during incoming flights.

They will check your temperature and you have to provide the exact address you are going to stay, and maybe a 14-day quarantine if you are not able to provide that negative test result.

And before you ask traveling to Haiti is safe and fun if you know how to do it. I recommend you keep your visit to Cap-Haiti if you want o avoid some dangers.

2. Jamaica

Alright, man (that was horrible) we are well underway with our list of the 6 Beautiful Islands You Can Still Travel To During This Pandemic.

And of course, Jamaica makes the list. Jamaica is an island that has tropical weather, awesome coffee, and has had big cultural contribution in music and dance.

A great place for those adventure hikers as the island provides awesome hicking space for all. I recommend you hike the Blue mountain. I did and it was an amazing experience.

While your at it climb Dunns River Fall, visits the Bob Marley’s Museum, and enjoy The Blue Water Beach Club.

Of course, like all places, there are steps that you must take before they let you in the country. Jamaica has taken great safety precautions to ensure that you are safe and that your trip is worry free. So if you are wondering if Jamaica is safe to travel no need to worry.

I mean we are in a pandemic after all. It all starts with a COVID 19 test results. Jamaica isn’t playing. You must have negative COVID test results within 10 days of the intended travel date. Check out visitjamica.com for that valuable information.

One thing I do know is that many hotels and resorts offer free in house COVID test for you trip back home.

3. The Bahamas

It’s no secret, we all want to go to the Bahamas. A series of Islands that we should all visit at least once.

It’s also a plus that it is open for tourists to visit. Don’t worry I checked to see if there were anything you need to know because of COVID. As it turns out there is. And of course it is perfectly safe for you to travel to the Bahamas at this time.

But before we get into it. Let’s take a look at what we can do once we get to the Bahamas. The Bahamas has about 700 islands at your disposal. So you know right of the bat that you will be having the time of your life once you land in one of it’s islands.

You can take a historical tour of Exuma, a district of the Bahamas that is home to 365 cays. Better yet you can walk up the Queen’s Staircase also known as the “66 steps” is name after Queen Victoria and serves a direct route to Fort Fincastle. If you want to do some shopping head down to the Nassau Straw Market and grab you some souvenirs.

Outride to amazing shopping, beautiful sandy beaches the Bahamas offers amazing food. Once there head down to Arawak Cay and eat with the locals. No matter what you choose to do you will have fun.

According to the Bahamas.com several steps must be taken before you can enter this paradise.

1st you need a travel health visa. One that is easy to get here. They do require that you turn in a negative test result that you took 10 days before departure. If you are unable to provide a negative test results they do require that you do a 14-day quarantine. Lastly, there is a mask mandate so of course wear a mask while following social distancing.

4. Puerto Rico

Now a favorite of mine that I am looking forward to traveling to. It could be for the simple fact that my best friend is from there.

None the less the country is open and ready to go.

I mean who wouldn’t want to go to an island that has almost 300 miles of coastline and maybe about the same number of beaches. With the largest shopping center in the Caribbean, it is worth it to get lost in Puerto Rico for the weekend.

But before you go, remember we are in a pandemic so there are rules that must be followed. You must wear a face mask and apply by the social distancing rules.

You are also required to fill out a declaration form through the Puerto Rico Health Department portal. Don’t forget like all places you need a 72-hour negative COVID test before you travel or quarantine.

5. The United States Virgin Island

The US Virgin Islands are a series of islands that tourists love to visit. Because of its white sandy beaches, beautiful reefs, and of course the only place in the US where you get to drive on the left side of the road.

I mean talk about the adventure.

With that being said there are restrictions that one must follow. And honestly, it is about the same as everything else. But unlike other islands, you are required to provide a negative test results 5 days before your intended day of departure.

If you aren’t able to provide the negative test result there is a quarantine period of 14 days or you will be quarantined until you get a result while on the island.

So do yourself the favor and get tested before you travel.

6. St Lucia

If none of those Caribbean islands didn’t catch your eye. Then I suggest St Lucia.

know for its vast variety of bird-life, it’s luxurious mountains and beautiful clear waters. St Lucia is a must-visit in your search for the perfect Caribbean paradise.

However, during this pandemic, some rules must be followed. For starters, you do need a negative test result 7 days before the day of departure.

Mask and social distancing protocols are in effect and must be followed. And if you aren’t able to provide negative results you will be quarantined for 14 days or until a test result can be obtained on the island.
